Timing
On this page you find all information you need in order to participate or to support Het Kampioenschap van Brussel. If we think your questions could be handy or good to know for the other participants we’ll post them asap! You can post all your questions to hetkampioenschapvanbrussel@jes.be. All selected bands can expect an e-mail 10 days before the preliminary date. In this mail you find all info (map, timings…). We also need a recent technical rider of every band.
Kampioenschap van Brussel?
Maybe you already noticed but actualiy this isn’t a sportevent, but a 2year music contest, did we already mention that this is the biggest music contest in Brussels?
FM BrukselLive?
Is this the same contest? Well no…but actually yes…wait…! FM Bruksellive is a contest that gives 3 spots on the annual Bruksellive festival (25th of july). All bands that subscribe for Het Kampioenschap van Brussel are automatically subscribed for the FM Bruksellive contest as well. At the begin of july we decide (through an on air radio show on FM Brussel) which 3 bands play @ Bruksellive (like a live battle of bands on air!) With other words: it’s a must to subscribe as soon as possible for het kampioenschap van Brussel, you could win a spot on one of the coolest and biggest Brussels summerfestivals. To participate to FM Bruksellive, subscribe your band between the 1st of april and the 1st of june for Het Kampioenschap van Brussel.
Entrance
All preliminaries are free entrance! The entrance of the finale @ AB isn’t determined yet…but that won’t be an enormous amount ;)
Jury
Our jury is our best kept secret and will be revealed after the contest. If you see someone with a notebook on the preliminaries, it’s probably not to take your order… As organisation we don’t take place in the jury, his because of we absolutely know nothing about music ;)
Backline/PA
At the preliminaries we always use the same PA system managed by our team of professionals. We also work with a fix backline (drums…) More about this later, but we can assure that our sponsors only deliver top quality!
Gear
We’ll foresee enough people to watch over your gear, so you don’t have to worry and you can enjoy the rest of the show

- Moodio.TV offers the winner a video 'Artist Focus' which everybody can
integrate on their website because of this brandnew widgetsystem! Moodio.

Bruksellive price:
It's a tradition that Bruksellive festival gives away 1 concertspot on the
next Bruksellive edition (2010).
For all finalists:
Poppunt has a whole plan for all finalists (together with all the finalist
of 5 other contests (see IS… for more info). The previous years we noticed
that concertbookers and promoters like to book upcoming bands coming from
the collection of finalists of all 6 contests.
